# Tech.eu Funding Explorer

> European tech funding — cited, EUR-normalized at the ECB reference rate on each round's date, agent-callable. Read-only.

Tech.eu Funding Explorer tracks European startup funding rounds, investors and exits. Every figure links to its published source and carries a confidence tier. See the [methodology](https://funding.tech.eu/methodology) for scope, taxonomy, FX method and reconciliation.

## Dataset
- ~38,824 companies, ~52,383 funding rounds, ~8,895 exits.
- ~EUR 725B disclosed funding all-time (ECB at-date recompute).
- Scope: European tech, including Türkiye and Israel; Russia kept with a post-2022 FX caveat.
- Full dataset, not a sample: the API and the MCP server read the same tables as the site. No sample tier, no key, no account.

## API
JSON, CORS-enabled. Reads are free, rate-limited per IP (120/60s, 600/hour, 2,000/day — see the ratelimit-* response headers; 429 + retry-after when exceeded). For full-dataset or high-volume access, contact Tech.eu.

- [Exits and M&A](https://funding.tech.eu/api/v1/exits): exits with acquirer and disclosed value where available
- [Market map](https://funding.tech.eu/api/v1/market-map): aggregates by country, sector and stage (e.g. ?period=2026)
- [Changes feed](https://funding.tech.eu/api/v1/changes): incremental sync for a local copy — rows added and removed since a timestamp, oldest first, resumable cursor (e.g. ?type=rounds&since=2026-01-01). Use this instead of re-walking /rounds on a schedule. Additions and removals only: the source tables have no modification timestamp, so silent edits are not tracked.
